Michael Vick signs $100M contract with Philadelphia Eagles

Only a year ago, Michael Vick was the man who threw away $100 million. Now, he's got a second chance and a second $100 million.

According to sources, the Philadelphia Eagles have signed the quarterback to a 6-year, $100 million dollar contract with $40 million dollars guaranteed.

In 2005, Vick signed a 10-year, $130 million dollar mega-deal with the Atlanta Falcons but lost it all when he was convicted for his role in a brutal dog-fighting ring.  Vick went bankrupt and spent 18 months in jail.  He returned to the NFL as a third string quarterback before embarking on a meteoric rise back to the top: he led the Eagles to the NFC championship game, was named to the Pro Bowl and received the Comeback Player of the Year Award.

Hopefully, Vick can stay out of trouble and represent the best of what can happen if we commit ourselves to righting our past wrongs.

Michael Vick can suck my ****.

CORRECTION: He led the Falcons to the NFC Championship game! Remember Philly beat Atlanta in the 04 championship game. Vick did lead the Eagles to the playoffs though!

Business, don't hate...if it were you who signed the dotted line, the caption would be "Business can suck my ****!" LOL

I knew he could do it ,he just had to get up of the floorand hopefully this time he will be a better man for it.

Now let's just hope he doesn't screw this up.

Of course he is rewarded!!Another shining exaample of how life is just not fair. He hurt sweet lil ole doggies. This makes me want to be VIOLENTLY ill. That man needs to scrub toilets for a living, and be treated like he treated his dogs. GRRRRRRRRRR.

Wow. Isn't this the same guy that could barely find a job two years ago. When he got out of jail there were only two teams that wanted him. I wonder how teams like the Bengals and 49ers feel now...
