Melissa Gilbert files for divorce from Bruce Boxleitner

melissa-gilbert-bruce-boxleitner-gi.jpgAnother Gilbert sister is apparently single and ready to mingle. On Thursday (Aug. 25), Melissa Gilbert, 46, filed for divorce from husband Bruce Boxleitner ("The Scarecrow and Mrs. King"), citing irreconcilable differences.

Gilbert and Boxleitner announced their separation in March after 16 years of marriage.

People reports that Gilbert is seeking joint custody of the couple's 15-year-old son, Michael. (And, yes, he is in fact named after Gilbert's "Little House on the Prairie" dad Michael Landon.)

On Wednesday, Melissa's younger sister Sara Gilbert, 36, announced her split from partner of 10 years Allison Adler.

Boxleitner should have left her the minute she did whatever she did to her face to try to look younger and messed it up! Always liked him!

There is a 10 year difference in age, older sibling was legally married for 16 years, and and had a child that they will share jointly, so how is that the same ??? Please don't insult the Boxleitner's marriage even tho it may be broken now !!!

I agree. I also agree that those cheek implants and lip plumping thing did not do her any good. Why do stars do this? It truly doesn't make them better looking. There are so few 'good' plastic surgeries that actually improve the actor/actress's looks that I don't know why they take a chance and end up looking so foolish. Age gracefully!

Has she appeared anywhere (TV or Movies) lately or just on one of those infomercials?

Last thing I heard she was involved with was a bitter fight to become president of the actors guild.
