Meet Mike Comrie, Hilary Duff's husband and new daddy-to-be

Actress Hilary Duff announced over the weekend that she is expecting her first child with husband Mike Comrie - but just who is her dashing partner? Comrie, 30, is a professional hockey player who is currently with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He's 5'10, he plays center (or "centre," as they say in Canada) and has previously taken the ice for the New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators, Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers.
Mike's older brother Paul and father Bill also played professional hockey. Mike and Hilary married a year ago Sunday (Aug. 14), after having dated for almost three years. Congratulations to Mike and Hilary on their bundle of joy!

Well, that's an incomplete synopsis.
Mike Comrie is an unrestricted free agent, meaning he is NOT with the Penguins anymore. Word is he's on the verge of retirement due to health issues that have bothered him over the last few years.
He's the heir to the Brick furniture chain, which is valued at almost 600 million. Technically his family is worth more than Duff.
He's from Edmonton, same as me, and there plenty of stories about him. Sleeping with a fellow players Wife, getting into a massive contract dispute - that type of thing.
