Katy Perry still determined to make Rebecca Black happen
We love pretty much everything about Katy Perry. From her dependably catchy singles to the almost endearing way she markets her sexuality to children, there's nearly no fault to be found.
But she has developed an Achilles' heel, her love for one Rebecca Black.
Covering her tune "Friday" on tour and letting her co-star in one of her own music videos, Perry has helped the once-mock-able teenager make the jump from infamous to ubiquitous over just a few months. Now she's inescapable.
Launching a second single, appearing at red carpet premieres and even winning a Teen Choice Awards, Black has somehow become a star in her own right.
And Katy Perry clearly relishes it. At the recent Los Angeles stop of her "California Dreams" tour, Perry had Black come out on stage for a duet of "Friday." And it didn't seem at all ironic. What gives, Katy?

Making a no-talent person into a celebrity is done on constantly on
reality TV. Katy is not doing anything unusual. Rebecca Black cannot sing, maybe she has other unrevealed talents, which may come out as she grows older, she is very young. Good luck Katy with whatever you are trying to accomplish.
Katy is unbelievably talented & knows how difficult it is to rise to the top, even for the greatest talents. Rebecca may be a one-hit wonder (was "Friday" actually a HIT???), but Katy gave R.B. her nod, so she must see something worthwhile, even if it's just for laughs. LOVE KATY>
all of you people disagreeing what rebecca black had attained in this moment are hardheaded. you must be ashamed of yourselves! can you beat her perseverance when you at that age? nope, you really appreciate her journey but you can not be able to show it in public that is why you turn to sour grape. common... all of us have a good side in our selves! try it will you nothing can be lost..... just try it...
