Jane Fonda shows off hot bod in Bazaar

Lookout Helen Mirren, there's a new "mature" hottie in town and she's actually seven years old than you. In the latest issue of Bazaar magazine Jane Fonda, 73, shows off her toned bod and talks about her new book, "Prime Time," and the ongoing process of finding herself."I'm fine with women," says Fonda. My problem is always with men -- you know, pleasing a man, turning myself into a pretzel to be who the man I'm with wants me to be. I'm not saying that that's gone away 100 percent, but maybe 90 percent, 95 percent even."
Fonda is currently dating music producer Richard Perry. Her exes include media mogul Ted Turner, politician Tom Hayden and writer/director Roger Vadim.
She also talks about her father, legendary actor Henry Fonda.
"I was raised in the '50s," she says. "I was taught by my father that how I looked was all that mattered, frankly. He was a good man, and I was mad for him, but he sent messages to me that fathers should not send: Unless you look perfect, you're not going to be loved."

You didn't have to be raised in the 50's to get that message. I got that message from a lot of ppl in my family too. It's epidemic. Not sure if it's getting better or worse?? Anyway, congrats to Jane for her ongoing process of finding herself. I think that's a path a lot of us are forging.
@yeah, good comment. One way it's getting worse is the dangerous epidemic of plastic surgery. Surgeons should lose their license for doing unnecessary and dangerous surgery on so many girls who look great and don't need it (and often end up botched and out of options.) Another way it's getting worse is many girls today seem brainwashed to equate hypersexualization with empowerment, and new technologies allow frenzied exploitation. Girls need to learn to go after what they want like guys do, instead of always trying to be the thing that's wanted because that's a dead end.

Steveo4, when you say Alex knows some "big words," precisely which ones are you referring to? Hypersexualiztion, empowerment, exploitation? If these are your idea of big words, you need to improve your vocabulary. Perhaps then you'll be able to state your own opinions rather than simply questioning the views of others. I personally agree with Alex and feel he/she did a fine job of expressing his/her opinion.

Not that I'm a booster for elective surgery, but what people choose to do to their own bodies isn't your damned business Alex and Doug.

It is obvious that you like most other people have forgotten that this woman was a traitor to this country and the men and women who served it during the Viet Nam war. She shouldn't be idolized she should be prosecuted for what she did while aiding the enemy in Hanoi. As a Viet Nam veteran U.S.Marine she will always be the enemy.
