Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt admit their wrongs-- can they be redeemed?
Have Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt seen the error of their ways? A skeptical as we are, it actually appears as if they might have. "The Hills" famewhoring duo have admitted that they are broke and living off tacos and burritos rent-free in Spencer's parent's beach house. Though we don't actually feel that bad for them because it's in Santa Barbara and tacos are delicious.
However, in what appears to be a fairly genuine interview, "Speidi," admit their mistakes starting with faking their lives for the camera. They now admit that they have never once broken up, let alone actually planned on getting divorced.
"Not for one minute." Spencer tells The Daily Beast.
"We've never even been apart." Heidi confirms.
So why now? Why this sudden revelation of self-awareness? Is it just another ploy for attention. Forgive us if we thinks so, but these two always seem to have ulterior motives.
"We were living each other's mistakes -- everything we were doing, in retrospect, was a mistake. The second we continued on our quest for fame was a mistake." Spencer says. "This isn't a business. That was the big thing I didn't get: Reality TV is not a career. Anyone who says, 'Oh, you can have a career in reality'--that is a lie."
So what exactly has the couple that once earned $3000 per staged photo taken away from their experience?
"What we learned is: You can be too famous." says Spencer.
