George Michael spills on breakup with Kenny Goss, blames alcohol abuse

George Michael is single -- and has been for two and a half years. The "Faith" singer reveals that despite what he's said in the past, he and former partner Kenny Goss have not been together for a very long time.

At the opening night of his tour, Michael confessed to the audience, "My love life has been a lot more turbulent than I've let on." Of Goss, he says, "This man has brought me a lot of joy and a lot of pain."

After Goss's parents passed away a few years ago, he turned to alcohol, and Michael blames his battle with alcoholism for their breakup. He's not the only one who has struggled with substance abuse -- Michael has several drug-related arrests under his belt.

Goss, a cheerleading coach and sportswear exec from Dallas, was Michael's partner since 2006.
