File this under "stupid criminals." A Carlisle, Pa., man is in police custody after trying to steal a rack of ribs by stuffing them down his pants. According to The Sentinel, Donald Noone, 65, was highly intoxicated when he entered a Giant grocery store and tried to shove $20.48 worth of meat down his pants.
But this wasn't Noone's first brush with the law -- or with ribs. He was also detained by police in May for trying to do the same thing with $13.34 worth of meat.
He was charged with retail theft and public drunkenness and, as far as we know, has not yet been able to satisfy his cravings for ribs.

They sell the meat half-price to unscrupulous vendors around the city. "Theft of meat" has been a common charge since the mid 80's. Addiction will make a person do crazy things. But I don't think he is just a hillbilly with a protein craving.

Its funny on the surface, definitely joke-worthy. But at the core, the poor dude has some problems he needs to conquer, mostly the alcohol. Possibly could be hungry too. If I were starving Id be stealing food as well. If I didnt get caught, Id be fed. If I were caught, Id be fed in jail. Its a win-win.
