Demi Lovato at MTV VMAs 2011: 'I've gained weight. Get over it.'

Demi Lovato looked happy and beautiful at the MTV VMAs on Sunday night. The former Disney star was in the house to present the award for Best Collaboration to Kanye West and Katy Perry. Lovato, whose latest album "Unbroken" hits shelves on Sept. 20, reunited with bestie Selena Gomez on the red carpet, and the friends -- who are clearly over their falling-out -- squealed over Lovato's collaboration with Missy Elliot on the record.
Unfortunately, it seemed that Lovato's Twitter feed that night wasn't too positive. After taking the stage with Chord Overstreet to present, she felt compelled to address some comments on her Twitter.
"I've gained weight.Get over it.That's what happens when you get out of treatment for AN EATING DISORDER," she tweeted. She later removed the tweet, though she remained a trending topic (mis-spelled!) for a while after.
You tell 'em, Demi!
EDIT: Demi replaced her earlier tweet with the following: "Guess what, I'm healthy and happy, and if you're hating on my weight you obviously aren't. :) #UNBROKEN." She also dropped the following response to a "fan."

Its pathetic that people actually sit there and call her fat. Look at her, shes gorgeous. She has been through a lot. And shes really strong for everything shes been through. Thats girl should of kept her comment to herself. Demi inspires me. When you have an eating disorder it makes you gain weight, so that girl shoud back off. Demi is still gorgeous.
Demi never ever listen to the haters. I think you look great and gaining weight is a part of life. People get older and gain more weight it is supposed to be that way. DUH!!!!!!!!!! =)

If she's "fat" then I'm probably obese!! This is absolutely ridiculous. Demi looks amazing with this weight gain. I'm not really a fan of her music, but what people are saying is just stupid. She looks wonderful...The girl's got curves!!! I mean...really? I'm so baffled that people are calling her fat! She looks so damn good, and not only good, but she looks really healthy. I like the way she looks now WAYYYYY more than the way she looked circa 2008-2009. I wish I had her body...damn. I really don't get why people aim to be skinny. There's nothing cute about that. I mean if you're naturally skinny, then that's great for you but if you were born with a more curvy body why try to change it? I really don't get society today. Where I'm from you would be praised if you had a body like that and force-fed if you had a body like Victoria Justice.
