Chely Wright, Lauren Blitzer get married

Turns out there was more than one celeb wedding on Saturday (Aug. 20).

Country singer Chely Wright and LGBT activist Lauren Blitzer exchanged vows in front of about 200 guests at the home of Blitzer's aunt in Connecticut, People reports. The couple met shortly after Wright came out last year and got engaged in April.

"The freedom of being out and open about who I am allowed me to find and fall in love with Lauren -- the most amazing woman I've ever known," Wright told People recently.

Both women wore white wedding dresses, and both a minister and a rabbi presided over the ceremony. The guests then enjoyed barbecue ("Lauren's idea," Wright, a vegetarian, jokes to People) -- and presumably did not have to sign waivers to appear in a TV special about the wedding.
