Banana Republic debuts 'Mad Men' inspired collection

mad-men-br.jpgFinally a little help for those of us who want to emulate the cool retro looks featured on AMC's "Mad Men." Banana Republic is set to debut a collection of clothes inspired by the ultra-hip show starring Jon Hamm, January Jones and Elisabeth Moss in a never-ending array of cool clothes. But -- warning -- the retro hair, cigarettes and outdated social mores are up to you to procure.

The limited edition "capsule" collection, designed in tandem with "Mad Men" costume designer Janie Bryant, will be available at the retailer beginning Aug. 11. According to a press release, the 65-piece collection "showcases silk scarves, animal prints and streamlined cuts."

Prices range from $45 for a women's cotton lace shirt to $450 for a men's suit. In 2009, Brooks Brothers offered an officially-endorsed "Mad Men" suit. It retailed for $998.

Now if Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn would make with a furniture collection, our fantasy life as a Don Draper love interest would be complete.

Um, Crate and Barrel have many retro pieces in their furniture line. Check out the "Petrie" sofa for one example!

Just what the world needs. More people dressing like douche bags.

I love the Retro look on Mad Men.
I can't wait to see the entire line.
