Bald Matt Damon defends teachers and puts Reason TV in its place
Bald (for a role) Matt Damon is a hero amongst teachers.
The actor took to Washington D.C. this weekend (July 30) to rally with his mother, a school teacher, and some of her colleagues at the Save Our Schools March. However, when a reporter from Reason TV suggests that teachers aren't driven to work as hard because they don't have the same job insecurity as, say, an actor, Damon was quick to fire off.
"A teacher wants to teach," Damon states. "I mean why else would you take a sh***y and really long hours and do that job unless you really love to do it?"
It doesn't end there. The cameraman decides he should jump in and do some hard hitting journalism himself. Yeah, that turns out great.
"Aren't 10 percent bad though?" He asks off camera, making up his own statistic. "10 percent of teachers are bad. 10 percent of people in any profession should think of something else."
Hard hitting journalism -- just make up your own facts and seeing how that goes over with bald Matt Damon.
"Well ok, but maybe you're a sh****y cameraman, I don't know," an obviously annoyed Damon shoots back.
Boom. Owned. Bald Damon for the win.

Damon needs to watch "Waiting for Superman" and "The Lottery" then stop talking out his assssss.
Matty supports Corrupt Unions .. Bob Chanin.."It's not about the Kids it's about Power".
Maybe you should tell us who these ReasonTV people are so the story will make sense.
Gotta love Matt. He's sticking up for his mom and the teaching profession. And he's articulate. And I agree with him. Ever think what it's like having to deal with student's who don't want to be there and parents who don't care? It's probably a nightmare. Sure there are bad teachers, but there's a hell of a lot more bad students who make life hell for their teachers and classmates.

Thank you to Matt Damon for speaking some common sense! Teachers work hard against impossible odds, use their own money for supplies, and are constantly criticized. Why? Because we love to teach. I challenge anyone who is critical of teachers to sign up with your local district and sub one day. You will change your tune quickly when you realize the true amount of work a teacher must do every day. Thank you Matt!
I like Matt Damon.
However, its ironic when he talks about the greatness of teachers he is all: " sh*@#$ this, and f* that"
I thought a Harvard man defending teachers could find a better way to articulate his point.
Matt Damon has single handedly shown me that there IS hope in hollywood. And that not every A list actor has their head up their ***. God bless you Matt Damon. You truly are one of the few smart ones.
Matt Damon, yummy
Make teaching a year round job then see how many people want to teach.Every teacher I know took that profession just to have their summers off. When a teacher tell you they make 90k a year it's more like 90k in 9 months.Pretty nice bank...stop ******** or find another profession.
