Anne Hathaway's first Catwoman pic from 'Dark Knight Rises': Delightfully non-literal
The comic book adaptation gods look favorably on us this week. After the first shot of Henry Cavill in full Superman regalia from "Man of Steel," Warner Bros. followed up with an official introduction to Anne Hathaway as Catwoman Selina Kyle from "The Dark Knight Rises."
Up until now, Hathaway hadn't even been caught in costume by paparazzi while filming the final installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy -- where some of her co-stars have been snapped in more telling set photos.
Catwoman fans should breathe easy with this picture. The film seems to have forsaken the excessively literal cat costume in favor of something better fitting a cat burglar.
Unfortunately, much of the costume is also obscured by the motorcycle Hathaway is straddling, but we're pretty sold on the idea of Catwoman with a freewheeling ponytail and not a restricting pleather mask.

Looks dark and sinister. Just how it should look for this movie. Bravo. Anne looks hot and tough!
With this trilogy Batman has turned into a real grown ups Batman.
leave it for Chris Nolan to make the worst superhero the best one !!
anne looks good all the time.
Looks like she's on one of Batman's bikes. I wonder if she found her way into the Batcave?
For what it's worth, in the comics, Batman and Catwoman do eventually find out about each other's identities.
Um - why does she call herself Catwoman if she is not wearing some sort of cat costume?
Looks fantastic to me!
My best friend and I are absolutely devastated by this costume. It isn't Catwoman at all! We wanted the full body costume and ears. Who cares if that doesn't seem realistic? The whole point of comics was to stretch the boundaries of reality. People who want a typical burglar outifit must be outraged that they allow Superman to fly through the air or Green Lantern's ring to give him powers because in the real world that just doesn't happen. Movies based on comics should at least recognize the original efforts to have outlandish villains and why they are that way.
I only liked batman begins. The best. And, yeah, you should keep it as close to the comic. If it can't be, then adults need to go do other stuff, instead of trying to make a comic this world. Just be real in the world it's in.
why is she on the bat cycle? maybe her ears blew off after she stole it . . .
I hope the costume gets a little more literal. Batman still looks like Batman. There's no reason Catwoman can't look like Catwoman.
