Just shy of the two-week anniversary of their daughter's sudden death at only 27, Mitch and Janis Winehouse have announced plans to convert Amy Winehouse's North London home into a permanent location for a charitable organization.

People reports Winehouse's 10-room, $4 million Camden house -- the same place where she was found dead on July 23 -- will be the headquarters for the Amy Winehouse Foundation. An official mission statement, said to be issued Sept. 14, will detail the ways in which the nonprofit plans to help children in need.

"The foundation is going to help thousands of people," Mitch Winehouse posted in an initial announcement on Twitter. "That is Amy's legacy."

Winehouse's final recording, a cover of "Body and Soul" with Tong Bennett, will help finance the foundation.
