Will.i.am escapes hotel fire in London before concert

Scary! Will.i.am of "Black Eyed Peas" fame had to be evacuated from the Park Lane Hilton Hotel in London on Friday after the hotel caught on fire! Lucky for him, it was daytime, so there were no sitcom-worthy embarrassing pajamas happening as he was photographed exiting the smoky building, covering his mouth with a t-shirt.

Over 1,500 guests and employees had to be evacuated from the property as over 20 firefighters worked to put out the flames in the 28-story building. The fire, according to People, began on a second-floor kitchen, but its cause is still unknown.

Later that day, Will.i.am and the Black Eyed Peas played a huge concert in Hyde Park -- a well-received show attended by none other than Prince Harry himself. When the Prince caught sight of a 10-year-old Norwegian girl who couldn't see the stage over the heads of the crowd, he asked her permission and then lifted her onto his shoulders for two songs so she could enjoy the show head-and-shoulders above the rest.
