Spielberg announces plans for 'Jurassic Park 4'
Nearly 20 years after his CGI dinosaurs first rumbled across the screen, Steven Spielberg told the gathered masses at Comic-Con that a fourth "Jurassic Park" is in the works. While at the San Diego convention promoting his upcoming film "The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn," the legendary director announced the dino-flick should be ready in "two or three years."
"We have a story," Spielberg says. "We have a writer who is writing the treatment and hopefully we are going to make 'Jurassic Park 4' in all of our foreseeable futures."
The "Jurassic Park" series has grossed nearly $2 billion worldwide since it began in 1993. However, the box office take for each successive film saw a significant drop in interest, with sales declining from $915 million to $618 million and then to just $386 million for Jurassic Park III.
So this leaves us wondering, will JP:4 claw its way back or is the series a fossil best left untouched?

It'll be as awful as the 4th "Indiana Jones" flick, come up with something new Stevie.
Provided it's GOOD, it'll do well. The Lost World and JP3 had lower box office takes because they weren't very good movies.
For God's sake, NO Spinosaurus please.
They really shouldn't even be touching the franchise with Crichton dead. It just seems like a dumb cash-grab.
Yea the last one was terrible but I still watch it every time its on tv lol
Hopefully it will be as good as the first! The T-Rex ripping up the truck was epic.
If Steven directs it? Then I'll go. If not. Don't bother.
Are they going to allow the characters to have guns big enough to fight the dinos? Pistols and other small arms not going to do it for me. In the Judge Dredd comic "The Cursed Earth" they had tanks and half-tracks. That sounds about right...
