Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's Comic-Con hair don'ts. It must be love

Way back in 2009 Kristen Stewart showed up at Comic-Con to promote "Twilight: New Moon" with a jet black, '70s mullet courtesy of playing Joan Jett in "The Runaways" biopic. And even though it was for a role, it still fueled even more vitriol from the K-Stew hater brigade.

Now, two years later, Stewart's on and off-screen beau, Robert Pattinson, has arrived in San Diego with an equally messed up head of hair. Granted, it's also for a role, director David Cronenberg's "Cosmopolis." But it's still pretty messed up.

It's kind of like the Hollywood equivalent of shaving off your own hair in solidarity when a loved one goes through chemotherapy. Or like when Jared Leto did everything short of carving up his face to distance himself from Jordan Catalano.

Note: "Twilight" co-star Taylor Lautner's coif looked just fine both years.
