Prince William, Kate Middleton plan Skid Row visit in Los Angeles

British newlyweds Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton), won't just be rubbing shoulders with celebrities during their first official visit to Los Angeles.

The royals plan to make a stop at Skid Row, the 50-square block area of Los Angeles that houses more than 4,000 homeless people. According to the Associated Press, Wills and Kate will stop off at Inner-City Arts, a non-profit academy that gives kids from the lower end of the socio-economic ladder free classes in the arts.

While in California, the couple will also visit a Santa Barbara polo ground where, per the Los Angeles Times, a plastic surgeon will be standing by in the event Wills is bashed in the noggin by another player.

The couple will reportedly be staying in the Hancock Park neighborhood -- far away from downtown's Skid Row -- in a home designed by Wallace Neff. The 7,000 square foot home has been owned by the British Consulate since 1957.

On Saturday, the couple is due to attend a black-tie dinner in support of BAFTA (the British Academy for Film and Telivision Arts) that will, we're sure, be star-studded.

On their last day in Canada, Kate and Wills visited a rodeo demonstration in Calgary.
