Pia Toscano drops 'This Time,' tweets pics from Ryan Seacrest's show

Pia Toscano, who was shockingly eliminated at Top 8 on "American Idol" Season 10, has officially released her first single, "This Time." The pretty brunette was quickly scooped up by Interscope Records, which is helmed by "Idol" mentor Jimmy Iovine, after her surprisingly early departure.Toscano's debut album is due out later this year. Will you be buying "This Time" on iTunes Tuesday (July 12)? We think it sounds more current than a lot of the songs she performed on the show.
Toscano leaked the track early on Ryan Seacrest's radio show Monday morning and later tweeted a couple super-cute pictures of her visit to his studio.

This is a great industry-standard breakout single from an artist worthy of a successful long singing career. I definitely think she was cut from AI early, and I believe it was partially due to the judges' having given her poorly thought-out feedback. We've all seen it, where they start nitpicking just to nitpick, and then it taints the overall votes. This single is not only success for Pia, but a little bit of poetic justice as well.

Yes she had an incredibale voice but her performance lacks any luster! She had absolutly no stage presence. I found her to be boring and dull

I agree with molly--great voice--beautiful girl--but she has no stage presence and this song sounds dated-the ending showcases her pipes but they were in a big hurry to get something out for her--i wish her the best but i dont think this single will do as well as they are hoping..
I am a big Pia fan. Her strength is singing beautiful ballads, not changing into a country singer, or something she is not. I think this song is Ok, but I suggest that at least half of Pia's album songs are lovely ballads.
Love her. Love her voice. Do not like this single.
