Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo get married, TLC wedding special on its way

vanessa-minnillo-nick-lachey-married.jpgVanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey were married on Friday (July 15) -- and depending on how long a honeymoon they have planned, they might make it back in time to watch the TLC special about their wedding.

The couple, together for several years and engaged since November, exchanged vows Friday evening at a small ceremony in an undisclosed island locale. About 35 family members and friends attended.

"For us, this is just a stepping stone to do what we ultimately want, and that's to start a family together," Minnillo tells People.

Minnillo, 30, wore a two-piece Monique Lhullier outfit with a lace corset and hand-tufted silk skirt, while Lachey, 37, donned a Dolce & Gabbana suit, People reports.

The couple had previously announced that the run-up to their wedding would be filmed for a TLC special, and Saturday morning, the cable channel announced a premiere date. "Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding" will air at 9 p.m. ET Saturday, July 30. A preview is below.

I've never heard more about a wedding that i could care less about!!

The expression is actually "couldn't care less." If you "could" care less about the Nick Lachey wedding, then that means you actually care enough about the wedding to care less about other things.

Just sayin'

Lucky lady! :-)

Thanks Matt!! Next time i'll get it right!!

I like jessica much better but I hope it works for them its who you love

the wedding was a "stepping stone" to having a family together? the wedding and marriage should be the focal point. children, memories and other life events should be surrounding pieces. if viewing marriage is as something you just get through to have kids, then she is in it for the wrong reasons

^ I was thinking this too. Marriage as a "stepping stone"? I mean it's fine they're planning a family, but calling it a stepping stone sounds weird....
