Kristen Stewart's first 'Snow White and the Huntsman' pics: Joan of Arc would be so proud

Kristen-Stewart-Snow_White_And_The_Huntsman.jpgThe entire cast of "Snow White & the Huntsman" is armed -- and apparently dangerous.

Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron (the Queen), Chris Hemsworth (the Huntsman) and Sam Claflin (the Prince) were all on hand for movie's Saturday (July 22) Comic-Con panel, and Universal Pictures took the opportunity to leak the first promotional stills of the actors in costume.

Our first reaction? These guys are ready to throw down. Each character is pictured with some sort of sharp object, with the pensive Stewart decked out in full Joan of Arc armor... prompting more timely comparisons to Mia Wasikowska in Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland."

Pictures of this "Snow White" (out June 1st, 2012) come on the heels of the first promotional still from the other flick about the apple-munching damsel, "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White." (We can now probably agree that Lilly Collins' dwarf-befriending princess is a bit more by the book.)

Scroll down for pictures of the rest of the "Huntsman" crew, including "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth swapping his hammer for an axe:

It looks as if they're calling her Snow White, and that's where the similarity ends. It may end up being a pretty good movie, but will the audience be sitting there comparing each scene to the original screen version? Might mess with the flow. But we'll just have to wait and see.

An interesting twist on a very old story. They all appear so very grim. =)

I let my two year old toddler see a version of Snow White, after which she saw the cat and took after it yelling "Kill! Kill!"

I think it is obvious which of the two Snow Whites will be the better. Looking forward to Theron as the Queen. She looks positively evil!

what's with hollywood forgetting the kids nowadays? Snow White is a classic Childrens' Fairy Tale. This Snow White won't even kids inside the movies... sad.

that's why it's a different version. it's not "snow white and the seven dwarfs" .. it's "snow white and the huntsman"...

charlize theron rocks!!!

Can't wait to see this!!
