Kat Von D, Jesse James call off engagement
LOVE IS DEAD.Everyone's favorite tattooed twosome Jesse James and Kat Von D have called off their engagement and ended their relationship, People reports.
Shockingly enough, James already had a statement prepared. "I'm so sad because I really love her, " James says. "The distance between us was just too much." Von D also commented on the break-up on her Twitter account. "I am no longer w Jesse," she tweeted. "and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that."
James, 42, Von D, 29, were engaged in January and were planning to wed this summer, but the commute between Los Angeles, where Von D shoots her reality show "LA Ink," and James' home in Austin, Texas, proved too strenuous.
Von D and James began dating after his highly-publicized split from Sandra Bullock. Their divorce was finalized in June 2010.
