'Jersey Shore's' Snooki wanted to fist-pump the Pope

Somehow the Pope will have to muddle through another day. If Snooki had her way, though, she would have taught him to fist pump.

MTV's "Jersey Shore" gang spent the fourth season, which begins Thursday, in Italy. Back in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, Nicole "Snooki" Pilozzi tells Zap2it what she wishes she had done in Italy.

"I would have liked to hug the Pope or do something, like fist-pump," she says. "Because I made David Letterman fist pump; I can make anyone fist pump."

It is an image to conjure up: the Holy Father and Snooki.

Though the "Jersey Shore" guidos and guidettes didn't get to The Vatican, there was more to their trip than the well-publicized clip of Snooki's fender bender with their police escort. 

"Italy was different," she says. "It was beautiful. Don't get me wrong, but being so far away in a different country -- say something went wrong and I needed my dad and my dad couldn't be here like that -- you know, so I really missed just my family and I got homesick a lot. I get homesick here and I am three hours away from home."
