Christopher Schwarzenegger expected to fully recover

christopher-schwarzenegger-gi.jpgThe news broke Friday (July 22) that Christopher Schwarzenegger, the 13-year-old son of former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and estranged wife Maria Shriver, was severely injured last weekend in a surfing accident. Christopher suffered a collapsed lung and several broken ribs and other bones.

But in a statement released to People, Christopher's parents have assured everyone that their son will make a full recovery. The statement reads:

"While it has been a very scary week, Christopher is surrounded by his family and friends. He is a brave boy and is expected to make a full recovery. On behalf of our entire family, we want to sincerely thank the paramedics and lifeguards who responded so swiftly as well as the doctors, nurses, emergency room and hospital staff who have cared for our son," the statement continues. They have been extraordinary to him and to us. We thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and ask for respect and privacy for Christopher and our family."

We're glad he's going to be OK.

wtf cares?

I do, for one. You obviously did, for another, since you read the piece and took the time to comment on it. It's not the most important piece of news in my life, but it's certainly more important than a lot of other things on the site today. Do you have something against reading a piece of good news for a child and the thanks and appreciation of his celebrity parents, as opposed to deaths, divorces, and dumb behavior? Are you disappointed that he's going to recover?

I care

why read it then? defg... who cares bout you? none? seeking attention? yes, yes you are
