Chloe Lattanzi (Olivia Newton-John's daughter) makes horrid, inscrutable video
Who can blame Chloe Lattanzi for trying to get in the pop music game? After all, her mom is none other than Olivia Newton-John who got us "Physical" in the early '80s and thanks to her iconic role as Sandy in 1978's "Grease," is basically a cultural icon.Lattanzi, 25, is a bit more -- how should we put this? -- creative than mom. In her debut video for the single "Play with Me," the aspiring singer writhes around in a tub with electrical appliances while a somewhat catatonic dude sits on the toilet beside her, reading a newspaper and -- we can only assume -- conducting some business. She also sports some special effects make-up on one arm and pals around with chicks who seem to have OD'd on coke.
According to a press release, Lattanzi came up with the idea for the video herself while watching an "avante garde horror film."
"The concept is actually quite dark, but not literal in meaning," says Lattanzi. "It's about dying inside in front of the one you love, and that person not noticing what's really going on inside you -- being unseen, unheard, and desperate for love and attention."
We could not agree more with the notion that Chloe Lattanzi is desperate for attention. Expect a full-length album's worth of "pay attention to me" later this year.
P.S. While the video doesn't show anything explicit, it does have some violent scenes -- cheezy though they may be -- that you may not want to watch at work or with your elementary school-aged children.

What a crappy song!! You don't have to do something outrageous just to get attention!! Use your talent for good Chloe not evil!! Say hi to your still totally hot mom for me!! =)
This girl is mentally unbalanced. This is horrible and an insult to her mother's good work.
I couldn't even make it a minute into the song itself, forget the visual aspect. It hurt my ears.
She sounds like she might be able to sing, if she'd just do it right instead of... whatever this is.
How embarrassing and disgusting. I had to mute that horrible song too because it gave me a headache - it's got like three lines. Olivia get help for your daughter, and some please pop her lips.
the idea of the video wasn't so bad...but that song just SUCKS!!! That girl needs to stop wasting her voice and talent and put it in a good song. Awful.
absolute garbage. & anyway what has this girl done to her lips, it's horrid. the guy remindds me of a young sean penn, except a little better-looking. ugh.
Say, folks, exercise your right to DUMP famous entertainers who do stupid, rude, or inexcusable things. Don't buy her cd's, don't look at her videos, don't give her the time of your precious day(s). A loooooooooong time ago I was at a Mac Davis concert and saw him be so rude and "I am the star, you are a peon" to a drunk who wandered in front of the stage, that I, his former fan, NEVER bought another record he made. FAME does NOT give you full rights to be a continuous jerk/jerkette, whichever the case may be. You can give your attention to famous folks who show they deserve the bucks and the attention. Or better yet, turn your attention to "not famous" people in your local area who are actually doing something GOOD for their fellow man/woman/child.
