Buckingham Palace tour with Kate Middleton's wedding dress expecting record crowds

kate-middletons-wedding-dress-getty.jpgThe annual opening of Buckingham Palace for public tours is expecting record numbers this year - largely due to the fact that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge's beautiful wedding dress is going to be on display.

The gown, designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, was worn in her April wedding to Prince William and now hundreds of thousands are expected to file past the dress, which will be on display on a raised stage int he palace ballroom. According to the AP, advanced ticket sales for the summer tour are at 126,000, which is up 107% from this time last year.

In addition to the dress, 19 state rooms, a display of Faberge jewelry and Kate's shoes, earrings, veil and tiara, and the couple's enormous wedding cake (pictured, below) will also be on display.

The summer tours will begin July 23 and continue until Oct. 3. If you're in London, will you go?
