Tony Awards 2011: Hugh Jackman, Neil Patrick Harris -- hosts with the most

The Tony Awards are a different breed. It could be that Broadway's annual honors produces the only awards show of the year actually worth watching. We get to see numbers a bunch of amazing Broadway musicals from the comfort of our own homes and some big-name actors -- this year, Brooke Shields, Al Pacino, Alec Baldwin, Robin Williams, etc. -- turn up sans the movie star 'tude.

Well, except for Hugh Jackman -- who brought his 'tude especially to have fun with host Neil Patrick Harris. Jackman, who has hosted the show (according to him) four times turned up onstage alongside NPH (who is no newbie himself) and joined him in a fabulous sing/dance/joke-off to the tune of "Annie Get Your Gun's" "I Can Do Anything Better Than You."

Amidst jibes (from Jackman) about NPH's lineage as a TV actor and NPH's feigned annoyance, we got glimpses of what could be a great comedy team. So, awards judge gods -- how about pairing these two for next year's Oscars. Or, better yet -- leave out the awards and give the two a yearly (or more often) variety show.
