'Super 8's' Ryan Lee talks Steven Spielberg classics: 'I'm still deathly afraid of sharks today'

ryan-lee-mtv-movie.jpgAt just 14-years-old, Ryan Lee landed the opportunity of a lifetime with a role in J.J. Abrams' and Steven Spielberg's upcoming summer blockbuster, "Super 8."

Zap2it spoke with the actor on the MTV Movie Awards red carpet, where he was stoked at the opportunity to rub elbows with "Green Lantern" actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

As a youngster, we were curious which Spielberg classics Lee has already been exposed to.

"They had us watch all of them because I mean, getting to meet Steven Spielberg, they wanted us to know [about him]," the actor tells us.
"I've seen 'E.T.,' 'The Goonies,' 'Close Encounters,' I mean, name some others and I've definitely seen it."

As for his favorite Spielberg film, Lee admits that "Jaws" still has him afraid of the water.

"I have to say, I'm still deathly afraid of sharks today," he says. "I'll go in the ocean but like, ankle deep and I'm done."

You can see the rest of our red carpet chat with Lee below. "Super 8"  hits theaters Friday June 10th.
