Shia LaBeouf: Megan Fox 'never got comfortable' with 'Transformers' director Michael Bay

transformers-2-megan-shia.jpgWe know that Megan Fox and "Transformers" director Michael Bay weren't exactly besties during their time on the two movies together, what with her comparing him to Hitler and all.

According to her former co-star, Shia LaBeouf, whatever clashes Fox and Bay had on set resulted from Fox not feeling at home with Bay's, shall we say, unsubtle style.

"Megan developed this Spice Girl strength, this woman-empowerment [stuff] that made her feel awkward about her involvement with Michael, who some people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women," LaBeouf tells the L.A. Times. "Mike films women in a way that appeals to a 16-year-old sexuality. It's summer. It's Michael's style. And I think [Fox] never got comfortable with it.

"This is a girl who was taken from complete obscurity and placed in a sex-driven role in front of the whole world and told she was the sexiest woman in America. And she had a hard time accepting it. When Mike would ask her to do specific things, there was no time for fluffy talk. We're on the run. And the one thing Mike lacks is tact. There's no time for 'I would like you to just arch your back 70 degrees.'"

We'll leave it to you to figure out what "Spice Girl strength" is. But apparently LaBeouf's "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" co-star, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, doesn't have a problem with Bay, or presumably with accepting her sexiness.

"Rosie comes with this Victoria's Secret background, and she's comfortable with it," LaBeouf says (Bay, in fact, directed Huntington-Whiteley in a VS commercial in 2009. "So she can get down with Mike's way of working and it makes the whole set vibe very different."

OK then. "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" opens June 29.

The Spice Girls had a saying "Girl Power" & LaBeouf knowing that is REALLY goung to stop those gay rumours.

Another idiot commenting. That kid isn't gay, haha. How intelligent are you to even make a comment like that? Man, wow. You are a complete idiot. WOW. I guess your just mad that out of all the hot chicks he's been seen with, you're fata.ss isn't one of them. LOSE THE WEIGHT LITTLE GIRL, MAYBE YOUR LUCK WILL CHANGE.

Actually could be an interesting discussion about the relationships between directors and actresses in a Hollywood environment that places such a premium on sex appeal. Shame that gets ruined by two idiots leading off with low IQ comments.

Anyone older than 13 in 1996 knew about the Spice Girls and knew what their slogans were - they were only everywhere at that time!

It's actually a very intelligent comment from Shia recognizing the truth of the differences between Megan and Michael. Just a shame that the two couldn't meet in the middle somewhere, but after two movies was probably too much to expect the relationship that strained to continue too much longer.

No he's gay.
