See John Edwards' mug shot

In early June, one-time presidential hopeful John Edwards was indicted by a federal grand jury for alleged misuse of campaign funds. On Wednesday (June 15), his mug (above) shot was released.

A smiling Edwards appears confident as he faces down the camera and six counts, including conspiracy, four counts of illegal campaign contributions and one count of false statements.

Prosecutors approved criminal charges for the North Carolina Democrat after a two-year investigation into allegations that he'd funneled campaign funds into his efforts to cover up an affair with staffer Rielle Hunter during the 2008 campaign.

If convicted, Edwards will lose his license to practice law. Possibly leaving him only fit for one job: CNN show host.
