Ryan Dunn's death: Johnny Knoxville comments, 'Proving Ground' pulled from G4 schedule

ryan-dunn-jackass-crew.jpg34-year-old "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn passed away early Monday morning in a horrific Pennsylvania car wreck that also killed his unidentified passenger. His "Jackass" co-star Johnny Knoxville tweeted, "Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn. My heart goes out to his family and his beloved Angie. RIP Ryan, I love you buddy. <3"

Other members of the "Jackass" crew tweeted their goodbyes as well. Jason "Wee Man" Acuna tweets, "I miss you, bud. You were always a happy kick-ass dude!" and David England writes, "I love you Ryan. I'm gonna miss you bad."

Steve-O, who joined Dunn in his last TV appearance on a June 8 episode of "Minute to Win It," wrote, "I don't know what to say, except I love Ryan Dunn and I'm really going to miss him."

MTV, which gave Dunn and the other Jackasses their career launchpad, released the statement, "We're deeply saddened by the passing of a member of the MTV family, Ryan Dunn. Our hearts and thoughts are with his friends and family."

At the time of his death, Dunn was working on the G4 show "Proving Ground," a reality show which he co-hosted with Jessica Chobot. In the show, Chobot and Dunn attempted to recreate wild scenes from video games, comic books, and movies to see if they'd "work" in real life.

G4 has pulled the show, which premiered last week, from its schedule for the indeterminate future, reports EW. "All of us at G4 are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic news that Ryan Dunn has passed away. Ryan's comedic wit and signature no-holds-barred approach made him an incredible talent and his work as host of G4's 'Proving Ground' was flawless. Ryan will be missed dearly by his legion of fans and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time," says the network.
