Report: Jonathan Rhys Meyers hospitalized after suicide attempt [Updated]

UPDATE 2 p.m. ET: A source "close to the actor" tells "Entertainment Tonight" Meyers didn't attempt to take his own life. The incident was instead a "relapse in his sobriety."The original post is below.
"The Tudors" star Jonathan Rhys Meyers was hospitalized earlier this week in London, reportedly after attempting suicide.
Paramedics responded to an emergency call Tuesday night (June 28) and found Meyers, 33, "slumped on the floor," London paper The Sun reports. After he refused treatment, police were called and he was taken to a hospital. The Sun says he was believed to have taken a number of pills.
"This is very sad," an unnamed source tells the newspaper. "It was the opinion of those present that he tried to take his life."
Meyers offered no comment after being released from the hospital early Wednesday.
Earlier in June Meyers checked into a rehab facility in South Africa, his fifth time seeking treatment for alcohol addiction.

Jonathan is a human being... I hope that he can get through any tough parts of his life and work it out, suicide is definitely not the answer. Good luck to you Jonathan, you probably have more support than you think you have, keep your chin up, there are always bright sides to life.

Grow up people, the report comes from the Sun, that paper wouldn't know the truth if it hit them in the face. There are all sorts of reasons for him to have collapsed including having fell off the wagon, that does not mean that he tried to commit suicide. I have seen him interviewed where he has admitted to his problems with alcohol and that he gets falling down drunk. I feel sorry for him if the stresses of life get him so down that he resorts to the bottle and that maybe he can find a rehab place that can actually get to the root of his problems.
I wish stupid news reporters would get their facts straight before reporting on something like this. I hope he can get the help he needs.
