Things just got a little more complicated for Rep. Anthony Weiner, the New York Democrat who on Monday (June 6) admitted that he had in fact sent lewd photos of himself to at least one woman via Twitter. On Wednesday (June 8), the New York Times reported that Weiner and his wife -- top Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin -- are expecting their first child.
Abedin is in the early stages of pregnancy, three people "with knowledge of the situation" have confirmed to the Times.
On Monday, during a press conference in which he admitted to behavior unbecoming a member of Congress, Weiner emphatically stated that he and his wife would not be divorcing.
"I love my wife very much and we have no intention of splitting up over this," said Weiner. "We have been through a great deal together and we will weather this."
