Miranda Lambert and Christina Aguilera's off-screen feud: 'The Voice' raises tensions
On camera, the competition between Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera on "The Voice" seems relatively good-natured and light-hearted, even if they do take the occasional dig at one another. But off-screen, it appears that Aguilera may have made herself an unexpected enemy. Shelton's new bride, country star Miranda Lambert, has kicked the feud up a notch via Twitter, and she certainly isn't holding back.Lambert is known for her no-apologies approach -- it's reflected in the hit songs we can't turn on the radio without hearing. While the judges on "The Voice" upped their ante with their first-ever live show on Tuesday night, they continued their ongoing ribbing via Twitter. It's been common all season for the judges to poke at each other, and Tuesday was no different.
When Carson Daly said that Aguilera "stole the show," Shelton added "and my wallet, HUSSY!" Meanwhile, Aguilera gave the boys a hard time about their bromance. "Was Blake just about to make out w/Adam as he sang that song into his eyes?" she wondered. Given the fact that Shelton has faced accusations of homophobia throughout the season, Aguilera's comment may have struck a particular nerve.
At least, it seemed to with Lambert. She replied to Christina's tweet with, "wow. Calling all males: Please relieve Christina of her obvious Frustration before things get... ugly. Team Blake rocks:)" A fan asked Lambert, "jealous bc ur husband said that Christina is the BEST SINGER HE EVER HEARD?" and she replied with "you should hear what else he says."
Ouch.
Lambert also re-tweeted a fan who said that Shelton is the only judge who doesn't treat his team like "back-up singers."
Aguilera, for her part, didn't respond to Lambert's digs. (She doesn't follow Lambert's Twitter at all.)
What do you think, Zap2it readers? Are things getting a bit too heated, or is it all in the spirit of the game?

Lambert should probably butt out. The judges just have good natured niggling and competition like on all of those shows. It's a bit embarrassing when the Mrs. has to inject herself into the thick of things. Maybe she's jealous that she's not on a reality singing show. You can't say there's some sort of twitter war happening when one 'side' isn't even aware of it or following the other party. The two of them have probably never even met.
Lambert was so shady in her tweets. I found Christina and Blake's banter to very funny and friendly...but Lambert's tweets were just way out of line. Especially the retweet where she said: "you should hear what else he says."
I think the other judges (Ceelo, Adam and Blake) have good natured ribbing and funny jokes, but between Christina and Blake and Christina and Adam, there is alot of tension. She always has to put her two sense in.
I thought her comment was a little homophobic. Like the guys should be ashamed of their bromance, or that them making out would be the worst thing in the world. As far as I know, both Adam and Blake are straight, but her comments were out of line.
Team Blake!
who's miranda lambert?
the "fan" with the backup singers tweet is actually ashley monroe, her friend, bridesmaid, and country singer. not a "fan".
christina was a ***** tonight. what was her problem?
That bra must keep her her stupid tweets to herself.. TeamXtina!
I thought the tweet about relieving Christina's frustration had nothing to do with Blake and Adam possibly making out and everything to do with Christina harping on how Patrick should take off his pants. It was funny at first, but it veered into awkward territory fairly quickly.
maybe it's just my interpretation but i thought that christina was teasing blake and adam's bromance so that blake DOESN'T come off as homophobic. she was pushing it to make him look more gay-friendly.
just like when blake said to openly-gay beverly that she was sexy, hot, and "daddy likey". kinda awkward. this all screams damage control to me. oh and miranda needs to take the stick out of her a**. plus, i don't think ANY of them treat their team members like back-up singers.
Um, who the **** is Miranda Lambert? Am I supposed to know her?
Miranda Lambert is white trash...and Blake Shelton doesn't know a whole lot about talent...They should have had Reba be the country judge from the start.
