Meet Scotty McKnight: Hayden Panettiere's age-appropriate new man

When 21-year-old Hayden Panettiere was 19, she and 31-year-old boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia split. She recently broke up with her latest beau, Wladimir Klitschko, who was 35. For her latest romance, Panettiere seems to be trying something new -- dating a guy who is her own age. While rumors recently swirled about Panettiere and New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, it's actually his teammate, Scotty McKnight, who has been taking her out.

McKnight, 23, is a wide receiver for the Jets, drafted in the seventh round of the 2011 Draft. He's from California and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with CU's all-time records for receiving touchdowns and receptions

Sanchez and McKnight have been best friends since they were eight. Some group outings with Panettiere explain the case of mistaken identity. "I'm a huge Jets fan and became very good friends with Mark and his buddies," she tells Us. "I've always been that girl who has a lot of dude friends. I'm into sports so we have a lot in common.".
