'Marley & Me' house for sale; for $1.25 million it can be yours
The house used in the film "Marley & Me" to represent the home of the Grogans (Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston), who adopt the ill-behaved but lovable yellow lab Marley, is up for sale in West Chester, Pennsylvania for $1.25 million dollars, according to local newspaper the Daily Local. The house is owned by married couple John and Lisa Taylor Ennis. John is a lawyer and Lisa is a photographer and now that their three children are out of the house, they have decided to downsize from the 175-year-old five-bedroom stone house and surrounding 16 acres.
"People still come by to take pictures," John Ennis tells the paper. "A whole load of kids and parents will jump out of the car and snap photos in front of Marley's house. People are polite and discreet; they don't want to meet us. They just want to see Marley's house."
John and Lisa purchased the house in 1996, when it had fallen into horrible disrepair. The Ennis family slept in the living room while doing most of the renovations themselves. The house now features a new kitchen, a new shake roof, new Nordic hardwood floors and a redone master bath.
So - got $1.25 million for the "Marley & Me" house?
