Lindsay Lohan plays pitch woman for Beezid, under house arrest, to the tune of $25K

As far as consequences in the U.S. legal system go, house arrest has always sounded like a pretty awesome punishment for committing a crime. (We imagine lots of reenacting Tom Cruise's Bob Seger dance in "Risky Business.") Well, apparently it's lucrative too.

Lindsay Lohan, serving four months at home after being convicted of stealing a necklace, released a (delightfully low budget) commercial for online auctioneer Beezid.com this week. It's only 14 seconds long, yet PopEater reports Lohan was paid at least $25,000 for her work and an additional $10,000 for a shopping spree on the site. (Still finding her way around the traditional retail experience, isn't she?)

We're inclined to call it a waste of money, given the web cam quality and utter lack of explanation about what the site does, but we're also pretty sure that no one had ever heard of "Beezid" before this whole ordeal -- and the video already has 180,000 views on YouTube.

Well played.

Now you can honestly say she phoned in her performance.

The next thing will be Lindsay promising SEX FAVORS for the COURT, and watch her WIN that one in EXCHANGE for DROPPING her HOUSE ARREST... SHE sure can MANIPULATE her lawyers if THE PRICE IS RIGHT. The COURT system or what they in the FANTASY world call JUSTICE is one hellova FLIM FLAM piece of work, isn't it?? Yes!
