Lady Gaga banned in Lebanon? Copies of 'Born This Way' confiscated

Maybe they can change the title to "Banned This Way": Censors in Lebanon have seized crates full of Lady Gaga's album "Born This Way" and are determining whether to ban it outright."We collected the CDs on the grounds that the music was offensive to religion," an official from the government's censorship office tells the Los Angeles Times. "They are still in our offices. We are still deciding what to do with them."
Lebanese law allows for censorship of anything that might be considered offensive to any of the various religious groups active in Lebanon. In the case of "Born This Way," the censors are screening it for lyrics that might offend Christians. The album includes songs titled "Judas" and "Bloody Mary."
"If they are going to offend us we are going to cancel the album," Father Abdo Abu Kassm, head of Lebanon's Catholic Information Center, tells the Times. "We will not accept that anyone insult the Virgin Mary or Jesus or Christianity. We have dignity. Call us traditional, call us backward, call us whatever you want. We will not accept it."
Despite the disapproval of censors, Lady Gaga "has a huge fan base" in Lebanon, says Fady Masoud, a music supervisor for the Virgin Megastore in Beirut. He's hoping the government will let the album be sold (possibly with the sensitive song titles blacked out): "We care that this CD be released because it will produce great revenue."
Somehow we see the Little Lebanese Monsters getting their hands on "Born This Way" if they want to. We hope they do, censors or no censors.
