Kate Middleton, Prince William rock a military look
For a Saturday (June 25) visit to the Irish Guard, Prince William and wife Kate Middleton (aka Duchess of Cambridge) turned out in full military regalia. William's uniform was come by honestly as he serves as the colonel-in-chief of the guard. He also wore a red Irish Guard tunic on his wedding day.Middelton's look is more military-inspired. She wore a double-breasted wool crepe navy officer's coat by Alexander McQueen -- the fashion house that designed her wedding dress. She also pinned a gold shamrock to her chest in honor of the guard.
Kate's military coat, part of the late designer's fall collection, is expected to retail for approximately $1,500 according to The Hollywood Reporter.Middelton met with families of three Irish guardsmen killed in Afghanistan and, reports People, spent an extra 30 minutes visiting with them.
The couple plans to visit the United States in early July.

I'm glad that Kate doesn't wear those god-awful thick soled stripper shoes.
Just an elegant classic pump for our newest duchess.
That's old-school fashion that resembles eloquence to the highest degree. Wish more gals would dress like that.
