George Clooney, Elisabetta Canalis split after two years
George Clooney, eternal bachelor.The actor and his Italian girlfriend of two years Elisabetta Canalis have ended their relationship, People reports. "We're not together anymore," Clooney and Canalis said in a joint statement. "It's very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect out privacy."
Canalis' publicist also released a solo statement for her client, saying, "It is a very personal and sad matter, and Elisabetta wants it to remain that way. she will be taking some time... and then will face the press. She has not authorized me to say when the split happened."
The couple was spotted dining together just last week in Italy, so we're extremely curious to know when the split officially happened. Clooney and Canalis made their romance official at the Venice Film Festival in September 2009.

sorry, but this is a man who will never commit to a lady no matter how beautiful or talented etc. Wish these woman would stop wasting there time on him. Have a short fling and enjoy the ride but dont get hurt. Sorry i think he is a sad pathetic partner.
I am not surprised. The man likes to play house and the all the benefits but when the woman starts turning the screws about the M word, then its time for him skidaddle. He's a coward and die a lonely meaningless man. no fun to be alone.

Anybody remember Warren Beaty? Same profile. He'll get old and when he cannot chase the girlies anylonger, he'll find a young woman and settle down.
Allison--You speak of all the benefits George got from Elisabetta (and I'm certain there are few that he could not have paid for in her absence), but overlook the fact that he provided her with: a) beautiful homes in which to live (Lake Cuomo villa?), b) fantastic travel, c) high visibility which no doubt helped her mediocre career, and d) sex with one of the hottest men in the world, among others. I think she did just fine! And he has always made it very clear what he is offering (no lies here, like so any high profile men), so she certainly had a choice about whether to get involved with him. And I'm fairly certain that loneliness is not in his future.
