Emma Stone eyed for 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies'

No stranger to the undead, "Zombieland" and "Easy A" star Emma Stone is apparently the current pick for the lead role in the upcoming adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies."

Variety reports the project, a twist on the Jane Austen classic in which Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy fall in love while slaying zombies, has put an offer out to Stone to play Elizabeth.

At one point the part was to be played by Natalie Portman, who's still producing the picture with her production company Handsomecharlie Films and Richard Kelly's Darko Films.

"Fright Night" director Craig Gillespie is helming the project, with Grahame-Smith co-writing the screenplay with newly-minted "Glee" writer and consulting producer Marti Noxon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer").
