Chris Rock defends Tracy Morgan on Twitter
Friday (June 10) a man wrote a Facebook note detailing a Tracy Morgan stand-up show from a week prior that featured several anti-gay sentiments, including that they should not whine about bullying and that if his gay son talked in a high, effeminate voice, Tracy would "stab that little n*****."Tracy has since apologized and NBC and "30 Rock" co-star Tina Fey have released statements. Now Morgan's friend and fellow stand-up comedian Chris Rock has jumped in the fray, as he tweets:

GLAAD responds on Twitter, ".@chrisrock Language about stabbing kids for being gay isn't 'foul.' It's dangerous"
What do you think, Pop2it? Agree with Rock? GLAAD? Do they both have a point?
UPDATE: "Cougar Town" and "Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence perhaps sums up the issue when he tweets, "Don't like what T. Jordan said, but not sure stand-up comedy is the place to police political correctness re. race, sexual orientation, etc."

I understand what Chris is trying to say, but he's missing the point. Tracy is allowed to say whatever he wants. He won't go to jail for it. But it doesn't mean he has freedom from ridicule or denunciation when he says something totally stupid, or bigoted, or idiotic.
I'm tired of all the faggy complaints; man up and take the humor. How come only they can ask for freedom and tolerance. Way to go Tracy and Chris. As Carlos Mencia said, if you can take a d*ck, take a joke!!!
Well Chris! It's like a white person saying they would shoot their daughter for marrying a N****R????
Ah, Mike, I don't even have to say anything. Your ugliness comes shining through. Congratulations.
Mari is 100% right. Imagine it was a white comedian making a racist joke. Al Sharpton and the NAACP would be ALL over it and if anyone defended said comedian, they'd all be called racist. Oh the hypocracy!
Comedy, whether funny or not, is No-Holds-Barred. I hate a lot of things that are said about white and black people, but when I'm sitting in a chair at a comedy club, those convictions go out the window. It's not like he was preaching in the streets pure vitriol trying to incite a riot. You people need to grow up or stay in San Francisco if you can't split the difference.
You can't take a comedian seriously when they're doing an act. Its their job at times to make you feel uncomfortable to see how far they can push their act. What Tracy said wasn't nearly as bad as what some comics have said on stage. But since its about gay people, he just went too far?
Sorry, Chris. But I only see you standing up for your friend. And while that's admirable -you are totally missing what has got so many people upset. Tracy didn't just crack some jokes -he spewed some very hateful things and imagery in his act. It was relentless -not just a few comments. People really believe he thinks that way -that it is not an act.
I think a lot of gay people are tired of the "if you can take a d*ck up the *** -you should be able to take a joke". Isn't that a highly offensive comment to make. People who use that imagery to equate gay people and sex -are masking some kind of hatred against gay people in my opinion.
@Mary
If people took him seriously, they're idiots. He can't be blamed for people's stupidity.
Tracy has defenders, no one came to I. Washington's aid. (another black man) GLAAD may have a fight on their hands this time, this may get ugly. Black Comic & his friends vs GLAAD......yep may get ugly.
