'Book of Mormon' star Andrew Rannells explains what Mormons believe at Tony Awards

book-of-mormon-i-believe-tonys.jpg"The Book of Mormon," the religion-lampooning musical from "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, dominated the 2011 Tony Award nominations and awards. And when time came for the crass, controversial but universally-celebrated show, we wondered what tune they would choose to highlight.

And the winner? "I Believe." An earnest ditty song by star Andrew Rannells, "Believe" sums up "Mormon" quite nicely -- while explaining a few interesting particulars about the Mormon faith.

Here are our five biggest revelations about Mormon beliefs, as sung to us by Rannells:

1. Ancient Jews built boats and sailed to America
2. God has a plan for all of us -- and that plan involves Mormons getting their own planet
3. The current President of The Church, Thomas Monson, speaks directly to god
4. In 1978 God changed his mind about black people
5. The Garden of Eden was in Jackson County, Missouri

... That's more than we learned in five seasons' worth of "Big Love."
