Billy Bob Thornton's daughter Amanda Brumfield found guilty of manslaughter in baby's death

It's a sad story with a Hollywood connection. Amanda Brumfield (pictured above, in her 2008 mugshot and in 2011 at the trial), the 32-year-old estranged daughter of actor Billy Bob Thornton, has been found guilty of aggravated manslaughter in the 2008 death of 1-year-old Olivia Madison Garcia, the daughter of Amanda's best friend, who died while spending the night at Amanda's house, reports the Orlando Sentinel.Amanda maintained Olivia's death was accidental. She claimed Olivia died while trying to climb out of her playpen and fell, while the prosecution argued that it was impossible that a fall from that small height could have caused the 3.5-inch fracture on Olivia's skull and the bleeding/swelling that was found in her brain. Brumfield was acquitted of first-degree murder.
Amanda is Billy Bob Thornton's child from the first of his five marriages. Amanda was born in 1979, during Thornton's marriage to Melissa Lee Gatlin.
In a weird coincidence, the Orlando courthouse where Amanda stood trial is also hosting the trial for Casey Anthony, who is being tried with the murder her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

I'm just curious who else is on this long list of celebrities whose children think they have a 'licesnse to kill' and are out massacring people. Sidenote Erik, 'aloud' means saying or doing something with an audible noise so that others can hear it. I think you were looking for 'allowed'. And you are calling who STUPID?
First of all, the woman isn't guilty. A fall could have caused the head wound. This woman had NO history of violence. The only thing this woman lacked was the money for her own experts and a decent attorney. Instead, she got a lame public defender. Slimeball Dad would not even pay for lawyer for his own daughter. Okay, fine. But then he comes out and says negative things about his own daughter, just to distance himself from his own failure as a parent. I'll never pay to see one of Billy Bob's movies again.
