BET Awards: Chris Brown, Rihanna snag matching honors

In between searing performances from Drake, Jill Scott and Rick Ross -- just to name a few -- some accolades were actually handed out at the BET Awards, held at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium on Sunday (June 26).

Chris Brown -- who opened the show with a Michael Jackson-tinged performance just a day after the second anniversary of Jackson's death -- walked away with the best Male R&B Artist award. In an interesting twist of fate -- Brown's ex-girlfriend, Rihanna -- won the Female R&B Artist award.

Brown -- who is should be noted wears funny pants (see above) -- also picked up an award for his collaboration with Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes on "Look at Me Now."

In what will come as a surprise to no one, Jaden and Willow Smith tied for the Young Stars Award. And, in somewhat more surprising news, erstwhile dog-fighting NFL player Michael Vick picked up the Sportsman of the Year award.
