Batman alum returns to 'The Dark Knight Rises'
We don't want to get into the business of spoiling Christopher Nolan's upcoming installment in the Batman franchise, "The Dark Knight Rises," but it has come to our attention that a person of interest not previously named in connection with the film has been spotted filming scenes.Warning: If you'd rather not know, please go somewhere else immediately. We suggest you read this lovely piece about Samuel L. Jackson's sweet new project for kids.
Okay, so back to the news: According to HitFix.com, Batman alum Liam Neeson was seen on the set, shooting a scene as Ra's al Ghul -- the Batman nemesis he played in "Batman Begins." Neeson was absent from 2008's "The Dark Knight" since his character seemed to be dead at the end of the trilogy's first installment.
In March, Neeson denied the rumor that his character would be back in "The Dark Knight Rises" in an interview with Empire magazine.
"That rumor's totally not true," said Neeson. In the comic books, Ra's al Ghul goes into a life bath of some sort and immerses himself to become immortal. So that's probably where that comes from."
Hey, things change.

Honestly, that sounds pretty dodgy, but hey, we really don't know what Nolan is doing yet, and I have learnt to have faith in Nolan, just as I have learnt to have faith in Pixar, no matter how horrid Cars 2 looks...
Agreed on both points. Besides, I think one of the female characters is supposed to be connected to Liam Neeson's character, so maybe it was a flashback or something.
Yes, with Talia Al Ghul most likely making an appearance, one can only assume Liam will be there in the form of a flashback.
Nolan's smart enough to avoid the Lazarus Pit storyline in the films.
More likely a flashback sequence with Talia.
