Alicia Silverstone introduces son Bear to the world

Hello, baby.

New mom Alicia Silverstone is sharing the first photos of her son, Bear Blu Jarecki, in the new issue of Us Weekly. Bear, Silverstone and husband Christopher Jarecki's first child, was born on May 5 -- and apparently lived up to his name right from the start.

"[He] had crazy amounts of hair when he came out," Silverstone tells the magazine.

Silverstone also reveals that she didn't want to leave her baby's side for about six weeks after he was born. "I wanted to soak in every moment of his scrumptiousness," she says.

Bear was born May 5, weighing 7 pounds, 15 ounces. His mom reports that he's "really calm."

Silverstone will next be seen in the comedy "Vamps," from "Clueless" director Amy Heckerling. She also co-stars in the indie comedy "Butter," which is awaiting a release date.
