Alex Tse to pen Bradley Cooper 'Crow' remake

"Watchmen" screenwriter Alex Tse will pen the remake of "The Crow" starring "The Hangover's" Bradley Cooper, according to a press release from Relativity Media.
"The Crow" tells the story of Eric Draven (Cooper), who returns from the grave on a mission to avenge his wife's murder so that his soul can finally rest. The original 1994 movie starred Brandon Lee (Bruce Lee's son) as Draven. Lee died during filming when he was accidentally shot with a prop gun.
Tse previously adapted the comic book "Watchmen" for the big screen. "The Crow" will be directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

HELL NO!!! How DARE they desecrate Brandon's legacy like that?? The Crow stands as a classic, perfect for its place and time...and its special place in the hearts and psyches of so many Gen Xers and the Goths. It is a masterpiece of dark romance....why **** with it??? I have been SO disappointed at the wasted opportunities inherent in the Crow stories...no one SINCE Brandon Lee and the writer and director of the original movie has treated James O'Barr's work with the reverence and dignity it so deserves. IF they had filmed the actual story in Wicked Prayer, it could have eclipsed the first movie and been a blockbuster....but leave it to IDIOT HACKS to thoroughly mutilate and kill a truly transcendent story. To do this remake makes a mockery of the story and seriously wounds the ability to believe.
dont act like a dumb ***. Lee is a legend in the industry. No one will ever replace him for the character. However, you need to think about the role. We cant just sit and watch the same movie over and over again. We as audience needs a new story and new aspect for the movie. Think about it.
this is so stupid. all the movies except the first one SUCKED ARSE. y y y y y y do this. cooper is a horrible choice for this role,if you HAVE to remake it then please for the love of B.L. pick some one else.
I think they went with the wrong actor and maybe a Jason Statham or Johnny Depp would have done better serve cause the original was when gen xers and goth was cool, and he could even scare Robert De Niro to death!!!
This is an absolute discgrace to remake this movie. It's a legacy to Brandon Lee. just leave it alone!! Why is everything a remake?? No one has an original ideas anymore??

Pardon? Which industry are we talking about? The "People with the last name Lee" industry? Because surely, you don't mean the movie industry. One movie that grossed $50 million most definitely does not make you a legend.

Bradley Cooper is a better fit than Mark Wahlberg.
Still agree that it doesn't need to be remade though. The first one is a cult classic, mainly due to what happened to Lee.
Who said Jason Statham? Come on man, the Crow was an average guy, and it shall remain that way. That's what made the character pure and likable. Although I don't think a remake is called for, I DO think it will be interesting with Bradley Cooper in the lead.
