Will Osama Bin Laden's death affect Kathryn Bigelow's 'Kill Bin Laden'?
Well, she had to know it was a risk. When Osama Bin Laden was, well, killed by U.S. forces in Pakistan on Sunday (May 1), Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow ("The Hurt Locker") was left with a possibly now-obsolete script on her hands. Bigelow was just in the casting stages of "Kill Bin Laden," based on a failed Black Ops mission to capture the al Qaeda leader.
The Hollywood Reporter notes that the film could continue as-is, but given the now-confirmed news, it could it be awkward to leave bin Laden's death out of the picture.
THR adds that Bigelow, who is spending the week figuring out her next move, could drop the project completely given the number of Bin Laden-related projects that will doubtless be rushed into production to ride the increased interest in the long-sought 9/11 mastermind.

She should drop the project. It would be pointless to continue.
