'The Celebrity Apprentice's' Richard Hatch begins prison term
It's not exactly the Trump property where Richard Hatch stayed while shooting "The Celebrity Apprentice," is it?
According to TMZ, Hatch has new accommodations at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn where he's started his nine month prison sentence for tax evasion.
Hatch entered the MDC on Friday (April 29) and should be released on December 12. The "Survivor" champ may be moved to another facility as the MDC in Brooklyn is designed as an administrative center for such things as holding prisoners awaiting trial or a transfer to another facility.
Hatch is in "good company" as the same detention center has previously held John Gotti, the head of the Gambino crime family; Baptist minister Al Sharpton, who spent 90 days there on trespassing charges resulting from a protest; and several members of the terrorist organization, al-Qaeda.
Donald Trump has said that he'll find a way to spring Hatch from prison if he needs to. "The Celebrity Apprentice" finale is two weeks away, so it remains to be seen if he'll follow through on that to reconvene all the contestants for the finale or if he was only teasing us, since he knew that Hatch isn't in the final two.
This would be Hatch's second stint in prison as he served approximately three and a half years from May 2006 to October 2009 for tax evasion.
